Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Yorkshire Roofing. These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern all agreements and services provided by Yorkshire Roofing (“we,” “us,” “our”) to the customer (“you,” “your”). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. General Scope of Services

1.1 Yorkshire Roofing provides roofing services, including repairs, installations, inspections, and consultancy for residential and commercial properties.
1.2 These Terms apply to all work carried out by us unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Quotations and Pricing

2.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
2.2 Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT unless specified otherwise.
2.3 Additional work not included in the quotation will incur extra charges. Any such charges will be discussed and agreed upon before proceeding.
2.4 A deposit may be required before work begins. Details will be outlined in the quotation.

3. Payment Terms

3.1 Payment is due in full upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed.
3.2 Late payments may incur interest at a rate of 4% above the Bank of England base rate, calculated daily.
3.3 Payments can be made via bank transfer, cash, or major credit cards.

4. Scheduling and Access

4.1 We will make every effort to adhere to agreed schedules; however, delays due to weather, material availability, or unforeseen circumstances may occur.
4.2 You must ensure safe and unrestricted access to the property during the agreed working hours.

5. Health and Safety

5.1 Yorkshire Roofing complies with all relevant health and safety regulations.
5.2 Scaffolding, safety equipment, and protective measures will be used where required to ensure the safety of both our team and your property.

6. Materials and Workmanship

6.1 All materials supplied by Yorkshire Roofing will be of high quality and suitable for the intended purpose.
6.2 Workmanship is guaranteed for advised number of years, except in cases of:

• Damage caused by external factors (e.g., severe weather).
• Third-party interference or improper maintenance.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

7.1 You may cancel your contract by providing written notice at least 7 days before work commences.
7.2 Cancellations made after the start of work may result in charges for materials and labour already incurred.
7.3 Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed.

8. Warranties and Guarantees

8.1 We offer a guarantee on materials and workmanship as specified in the quotation.
8.2 Guarantees do not cover:

• Wear and tear.
• Damage caused by extreme weather conditions.
• Issues arising from unauthorised alterations or repairs.

9. Liability

9.1 Yorkshire Roofing is insured for public liability up to £5m.
9.2 We are not liable for:

• Indirect or consequential loss.
• Delays caused by factors outside our control.
• Damage resulting from pre-existing faults in the property.

10. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

10.1 Any complaints must be made in writing within 7 days of work completion.
10.2 We aim to resolve all complaints amicably. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be referred to an independent mediation service.

11. Intellectual Property

11.1 All plans, designs, and documentation provided by Yorkshire Roofing remain our intellectual property.
11.2 You are granted a non-exclusive license to use these materials for the purpose for which they were provided.

12. Privacy and Data Protection

12.1 Yorkshire Roofing complies with UK data protection laws, including the GDPR.
12.2 Personal data collected will only be used for the purposes of providing services and will not be shared with third parties without consent.

13. Force Majeure

13.1 Yorkshire Roofing is not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Natural disasters.
• Strikes or labour disputes.
• Supply chain disruptions.

14. Governing Law

14.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
14.2 Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. Changes to Terms

15.1 Yorkshire Roofing reserves the right to update these Terms at any time.
15.2 Clients will be notified of significant changes, and the latest version will be available on our website.
