Terms and Conditions Yorkshire Roofing Group Ltd Last Updated: April 2026
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern all agreements and services provided by Yorkshire Roofing Group Ltd (“we,” “us,” “our”) to the customer (“you,” “your”). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Company Identity and Payment Verification
1.1 All quotations, invoices and works are issued exclusively by Yorkshire Roofing Group Ltd. No other company or trading name is authorised to quote, invoice or collect payment on our behalf.
1.2 All payments must be made directly to Yorkshire Roofing Group Ltd using the bank details provided on your invoice. If you receive a payment request from any other business name or bank account, please contact our office immediately on tracey@yorkshireroofing.co.uk before making any payment.
2. General Scope of Services
2.1 Yorkshire Roofing Group Ltd provides roofing services including repairs, replacements, installations, inspections and consultancy for residential and commercial properties.
2.2 These Terms apply to all work carried out by us unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Quotations and Pricing
3.1 All quotations are fixed price quotations and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
3.2 Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate (currently 20%) unless specified otherwise.
3.3 Additional work not included in the original quotation will incur extra charges. Any such charges will be discussed and agreed upon in writing before proceeding.
3.4 A deposit of 30% may be required before work begins on larger projects. Deposit requirements will be clearly outlined in your quotation.
4. Payment Terms
4.1 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due on receipt of invoice.
4.2 Late payments may incur interest at a rate of 4% above the Bank of England base rate, calculated daily from the due date.
4.3 Payments can be made via bank transfer or major credit/debit cards. Bank details for Yorkshire Roofing Group Ltd will be clearly displayed on all invoices.
5. Scheduling and Access
5.1 We will make every effort to adhere to agreed schedules. However, delays due to weather conditions, scaffold availability, material supply or other unforeseen circumstances may occur. We will keep you informed of any changes to the programme of works.
5.2 You must ensure safe and unrestricted access to the property during the agreed working hours.
6. Health and Safety
6.1 Yorkshire Roofing Group Ltd complies with all relevant health and safety regulations.
6.2 Scaffolding, safety equipment and protective measures will be used where required to ensure the safety of both our team and your property.
6.3 Risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) will be provided for commercial projects upon request.
7. Materials and Workmanship
7.1 All materials supplied by Yorkshire Roofing Group Ltd will be of high quality and suitable for the intended purpose.
7.2 We offer a 5-year workmanship guarantee on all completed projects unless otherwise specified in your quotation. This guarantee covers defects arising from our workmanship only and does not extend to:
Damage caused by severe or exceptional weather conditions. General wear and tear or natural deterioration of materials over time. Damage caused by third-party interference, unauthorised alterations or repairs carried out by others. Failure to carry out reasonable maintenance. Pre-existing defects in the property structure not identified or included in the original scope of works.
7.3 For the avoidance of doubt, deterioration of existing materials such as roofing membranes, mortar joints or fixings that were not replaced as part of our works falls outside the scope of our workmanship guarantee.
8. Cancellations and Refunds
8.1 You may cancel your contract by providing written notice at least 7 days before work is due to commence.
8.2 Cancellations made after the start of work may result in charges for materials already ordered or delivered and labour already incurred.
8.3 Deposits are non-refundable where materials have been ordered or work has commenced. In all other circumstances, deposits will be refunded in full.
9. Warranties and Guarantees
9.1 Manufacturer warranties on materials are provided separately where applicable and are subject to the manufacturer’s own terms and conditions.
9.2 Our workmanship guarantee is as set out in Section 7.2 above.
10. Liability
10.1 Yorkshire Roofing Group Ltd holds public liability insurance of £2,000,000 (policy reference LXBI4775664XB). A copy of our insurance certificate is available on request.
10.2 We are not liable for:
Indirect or consequential loss. Delays caused by factors outside our reasonable control. Damage resulting from pre-existing faults in the property that were not identified in or covered by our quotation.
11. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
11.1 Any complaints must be made in writing within 14 days of work completion.
11.2 We aim to resolve all complaints promptly and amicably. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be referred to an independent mediation service.
12. Drone Inspections and Reports
12.1 Where a drone inspection is carried out, a detailed report of findings will be provided. Drone inspections are charged separately as outlined in your quotation or at our standard rate.
12.2 Drone inspection reports remain the intellectual property of Yorkshire Roofing Group Ltd and are provided for your personal use in relation to the property inspected.
12.3 Recommendations made within inspection reports are advisory. You are under no obligation to proceed with any recommended works.
13. Intellectual Property
13.1 All plans, designs, inspection reports, photographs and documentation provided by Yorkshire Roofing Group Ltd remain our intellectual property.
13.2 You are granted a non-exclusive licence to use these materials for the purpose for which they were provided.
14. Privacy and Data Protection
14.1 Yorkshire Roofing Group Ltd complies with UK data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
14.2 Personal data collected will only be used for the purposes of providing our services and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.
15. Force Majeure
15.1 Yorkshire Roofing Group Ltd is not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, strikes or labour disputes, supply chain disruptions, pandemics or government restrictions.
16. Governing Law
16.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
16.2 Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
17. Changes to Terms
17.1 Yorkshire Roofing Group Ltd reserves the right to update these Terms at any time.
17.2 Clients will be notified of significant changes. The latest version will always be available on our website.
